We’re proud to announce the purchase of a third fixed-head lathe, a Biglia B620YS, for our production facility in Send, Woking.
Supplied by Whitehouse Machine Tools, the machine was installed to turn a range of aluminium components for the high quality objectives in our third generation Mantis eyepiece-less stereo microscopes, to provide extra turning capacity for large production volumes.
Machine shop manager Scott Blackwell says: “The Biglia lathe installation turned out well. The lathe is a real workhorse; the turned parts it produces are impeccable and the unmanned running has proved to be very consistent.”
Vision Engineering continues to invest in our manufacturing facility with modern milling and turning capabilities along with paint shop and assembly shop capacity.
